Beads are go!!

Day 1 of the holidays and the weather isn't making it's mind up on what it wants to do(other than be cold) so this morning we have been playing with beads.

Theo has taken to this activity with very little instruction, by that I mean I only demonstrated putting one bead onto the spaghetti. He just knew what he was doing from there. I let his creativity and bead choices run from there. Watching every closely for those "just incase" moments.

He's put extra spaghetti in the plasticine.

He's found out that it can be tricky getting the beads onto the spaghetti and if he holds too tight the spaghetti breaks.

He's seen that stacking big beads high up makes it topple over.

He's found out that beads being dropped into the tray make a sound.

He has also learnt so much more.

It has been amazing to both watch and join in with.

I got the tray, lunch box (bead storage) and the plasticine from Home Bargains.

The beads are from the Range.

I am hoping to do different activities/days out with him each day this half term so feel free to send some suggestions.
